SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT
GREENWOOD – Diocese of Jackson Black Catholic Day of Reflection, Nov. 6-7, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Sessions with Dr. Timone Davis, retreat minister, youth sessions, prayer, Liturgy, vendors. Cost is $15 for pre-registration and $20 at the door.
NATCHEZ St. Mary Basilica, eight-week study of church Creed, Thursdays from 6:30 – 7:45 p.m. Babysitting is available. A light supper will be served at 6 p.m. at the O’Connor Family Life Center.
YAZOO CITY St. Mary Parish, eight-week course on “The Creed,” Tuesdays, from 2 – 4 p.m. in the parish office. Cost is $20 plus a book fee. Led by Sister  Michele Doyle.

BATESVILLE St. Mary Parish, Friday, family movie night, Oct. 23, at 6 p.m.
BROOKHAVEN St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Trunk or Treat, chili, hayrides, Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 5:45 p.m. Decorate your trunk, bring candy and treats to pass out to the children.
CLEVELAND Halloween carnival, Sunday, Oct. 25, at 6 p.m. in the parish center. The CYO is asking parishioners to donate one bag of candy for this year’s Trunk or Treat, during the carnival. Drop donations at the church office before Oct. 23.
COLUMBUS Annunciation Parish and other downtown churches are participating in the Fall Festival trunk or treat, Sunday, Oct. 25, from 4 – 6:30 p.m. For admission bring dog/cat food, flea shampoo or bath towels. For trunk or treat details: Gina Phillips, 662-328-2927, ext. 12.
– Annunciation Parish picnic, Sunday, Nov. 1, after the 10:30 a.m. Mass (only one Mass this day) in the school gym. Bring a side dish.
– Annunciation School art auction, Friday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. at the Trotter Convention Center. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
FLOWOOD St. Paul Early Learning Center was voted Best Day Care in the state of Mississippi. The center received thousands of votes in a ballot included in the  Clarion Ledger and online.
GREENWOOD Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, CYO spaghetti supper and carnival, Monday, Oct. 26th, from 5 – 8 p.m. in the parish center and on the greens by the church. The spaghetti supper will be from 5 – 7 p.m., tickets are $10, and the carnival for the kids from 6 – 8 p.m.
GRENADA St. Peter Parish, fund-raiser festival for the youth, “Peter’s Pumpkin Party,” Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Family Life Center with a chili cook-off. Families are asked to donate a bag of candy.
JACKSON St. Richard Parish, annual Monsignor Glynn brunch, Sunday, Nov. 1, after the 10:30 a.m. Mass.

NATCHEZ St. Mary Basilica Healing Hands is collecting baby blankets for distribution in a hospital in Haiti run by Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady. Place donations in the box in the O’Connor Family Life Center by Dec. 1.
– St. Mary Basilica was the recipient of The Natchez Democrat 2015 Reader’s Choice Award – Best Place of Worship. Readers of the Mississippi-Lousiana area voted in a survey for their favorite places of worship in a number of categories.
PEARL St. Jude Parish, Young Apostles “Trunk or Treat,” Saturday, Oct. 24, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Volunteers needed to decorate their trunk or tailgates and provide them as stopping points for candy distribution. TUPELO St. James Parish, “Christian persecutions,” Sunday, Oct. 25, from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. Dr. Salwa Gendi will share her personal story and the plight of Christians in Egypt and Syria, including her family and friends. Afterwards, the Guadalupan dancers will lead participants to the grotto to pray the rosary.
– St. James Parish, Festival of Saints, Sunday, Nov. 1, from 5 – 8 p.m. Trunk or Treat for the children at 5 p.m. The festival will also include Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a Mexican celebration.
VICKSBURG “Spooky Sprint,” a 5K run/walk and 1 mile fun run with a Halloween carnival, Saturday, Oct. 31, beginning at 8 a.m. to benefit Vicksburg Catholic School. YAZOO CITY St. Mary Parish, along with other area churches, will participate in the “Antique Days in Yazoo City” celebration on Saturday, Oct. 24, on Main Street.
– The living rosary, potluck lunch, Sunday, Oct. 25,  after the 10:30 Mass in the parish hall, followed by the recitation of the rosary.

FALL GALA
JACKSON – The Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle, Fall Gala, Saturday, Nov. 7, at 6:30 p.m. at the Old Capitol Inn. Tickets are $60 per person and $100 per couple and includes food, cocktails, 50/50 split pot raflle, silent auction and live entertainment. Proceeds benefit the renovation of the cathedral.
