Faith across borders:Bishops make annual mission trip to Saltillo

Bishop Joseph Kopacz traveled to Saltillo, Mexico, Sept. 24-30 with Bishop Louis F. Kihneman III of the Diocese of Biloxi. The bishops visited communities served through the dioceses’ shared Saltillo Mission.
During the trip, they visited several churches and mission communities, including San Miguel, Divina Misericordia, San José and the future chapel of El Niño de la Salud. On Sept. 27, Bishop Kopacz and Bishop Kihneman joined Bishop Hilario González García of Saltillo for a Confirmation Mass at San Miguel.
The visit celebrated the longstanding mission partnership connecting Catholics in Saltillo with the dioceses of Jackson and Biloxi. Through prayer, worship and fellowship, the trip strengthened the bonds of faith and solidarity shared across the three dioceses.
