BROOKSVILLE Dwelling Place Retreat Center, St. Theresa of Avila’s “The Interior Castle,” July 14-15. Written in 1577, St. Theresa describes how the soul is like a diamond in the shape of a castle that contains seven mansions. The mansions are symbolic of the seven stages of a journey of faith which culminates in ‘union with God.’ Even though these words were written nearly 450 years ago, St. Theresa’s wisdom is just as applicable and practical today.
