Festival of Lessons and Carols
GREENVILLE — St. Joseph Parish CYO juniors (sixth-eight graders) are invited to a karaoke costume Halloween Boo-Ha Saturday, Oct. 23, from 7 - 9 p.m. at the Moore’s house, 2375 Main Extd.
Youth are asked to bring an appetizer, one canned food item, money and a friend.

Festival of Lessons and Carols
CLEVELAND — Our Lady of Victories Parish youth in grades seven - 12 interested in being part of the annual Festival of Lessons and Carols on Dec. 12 should call 662-843-8063. Ushers, altar servers and singers are needed.
The youth choir meets on Sundays Oct. 31, Nov. 7, 14, and Dec. 5.

Youth bake sale
COLUMBUS — Annunciation Parish CYO will hold a bake sale after the 8 and 10:30 a.m. Masses Sunday, Oct. 24. Proceeds will go toward diocesan events and trips and a trip to World Youth Day in Madrid, Spain, in August 2011.

‘Treats in the Alley’
McCOMB — All children and youth are invited to St. Alphonsus Parish “Treats in the Alley” Sunday, Oct. 31, after the 5:30 p.m. Mass.

Blanket, coat drive
GLUCKSTADT — St. Joseph Parish CYO will hold a blanket and coat drive Saturday, Oct. 23, from 7 - 9 p.m. The youth will spend the night in the church parking lot in a “cardboard city.”
Donations of new and very gently worn blankets and coats will be distributed among the Hispanic community in Canton.

St. Joe play this weekend
MADISON — St. Joseph School will present “Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There” Saturday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m. at the Center for the Arts on the Madison campus.
Fine Arts Support Team (FAST) members are free and enter the auditorium before general admission. Tickets are $7. For information call 601-898-4800.

Scavenger horse hunt
MERIDIAN — The Catholic Youth of Meridian (CYM) recently took on juniors (fifth - eighth-graders) in a citywide scavenger hunt to find a few of the carousel horses displayed in front of many businesses in Meridian.
Each team got clues to each of 17 horses. The hunt began with a group picture at St. Patrick Church and ended at St. Joseph Church. The JCYM arrived at the place of the last horse on the list, Mount St. Joseph, just minutes before the CYM, winning the game.
The purchase of the carousel horses is a fund-raiser for Hope Village, a local shelter for children created by actress Sela Ward.

St. Richard FunFest
JACKSON — St. Richard School Funfest will be held Sunday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. along Lynwood Drive. This year it will be a street festival with live music from the Jeff Maddox Band and the Hinds Community Rock and Christian Rock Bands.
There will be children’s activities, food, arts and crafts. For information call Leta Collins, 601-214-0623.
The school’s Special Kids Day is set for Thursday, Oct. 28, at Colonial Country Club. Activities include a golf tournament, a silent auction and an awards reception with cocktails.
