150th anniversary
VICKSBURG — The Development Office of Vicksburg Catholic School is reaching out to all alumni of St. Francis Xavier Academy and St. Aloysius School, past faculty and religious, to make them aware of the mega reunion weekend and other events during the 150th anniversary celebration. Organizers are looking for current addresses for many of its alumni.
Those who graduated any year between 1950 to 1990 and have current addresses for any of your classmates, are asked to contact them here or mail the information to VCS-Development Office, 1900 Grove Street, Vicksburg, MS 39183.
Nursery cleaning
TUPELO — St. James Parish junior CYO are encouraged to volunteer to clean the nursery Thursday, July 29, from 9 a.m. - noon.
Juniors will have a fun day at the Becker’s cabin Sunday, Aug. 1. Participants will leave after the 8 a.m. Mass and return around 7 p.m.
On Sunday, Aug. 15, there will be a welcome back party for the junior CYO after the 10:30 a.m. Mass. There will be water games and a cookout.
Canoe tipping
MERIDIAN — The annual canoe trip for the Catholic Youth of Meridian (ninth - 12th graders) and their families is set for Sunday, Aug. 1. Those participating are asked to meet at St. Joseph Parish parking lot at 9:30 a.m. Cost of canoes is $15 per person; Kayaks $25 per person. RSVP by Friday, July 30.
On Sunday, July 25, juniors will meet after the 11 a.m. Mass for Apologetics.
Service opportunity
MADISON — St. Joseph students are needed to assist with “Bag to School Day” at St. Anthony School Thursday, July 29, at 8:30 a.m.
Activities will include unloading and sorting school supplies for the classrooms. Refreshments will be provided.

Pool party
