High school service
SOUTHAVEN — Christ the King Parish high school youth will lead a vacation Bible school at Dehon Village in Walls June 28-July 2, from 10 a.m. - noon.
The parish will hold a Bible camp for sixth through eighth-graders Friday, July 9, from 6:30 - 11 p.m. Registration forms are on the bulletin boards. Deadline to register is Sunday, July 4.
The youth of the parish will participate in the following activities:
— Saturday, July 3, visit a nursing home.
— Monday, July 5, serve spaghetti and offer crafts for the children/families at the Ronald McDonald House.
— Thursday, July 8, prepare food and serve the working poor in Holly Springs.

Barbecue dinner
GLUCKSTADT — St. Joseph Parish CYO will hold a barbecue dinner Sunday, June 27, from 6 - 8 p.m. Dine-in and take-out will be available.
Dinners include pulled pork, baked beans and coleslaw. Cost is $7 per plate. Proceeds will go toward the CYO summer trip.
Help with VBS
GREENWOOD — Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish CYO are encouraged to partner with friends from Resurrection Catholic Church in Bartlett, Ill., to help July 12-15 with either the vacation Bible school or the parish construction crew.
The group will have meals together in the evening and an outing at Grenada Lake Friday, July 16.
Youth-led Bible study
JACKSON — St. Therese Parish youth in seventh grade and up are invited to a youth-led Bible study on Wednesdays at 6 p.m in the parish office.
Outdoor movie
MADISON — St. Francis of Assisi Parish Faithful Followers will be treated to an outdoor movie Friday, June 30, from 7 - 9:30 p.m. as part of its Worship On Wednesdays (WOW) program.
The 2010-2011 Faithful Followers leadership council meeting is set for Wednesday, June 30, at 6 p.m. in the lounge. For information call Abbey Schuhmann, 601-856-5556.
Scouts receive awards
JACKSON — Eight St. Richard Parish Troop 30 Boy Scouts were elected as candidates for the Order of the Arrow, the Honor Society for Boy Scouts.
They are: John Cannon, Chris Fairley, Ian Hennington, Trey McCullough, TJ Riley, John Henry Sullivan, Ian Vandevender and Jordan Vice.
Pack 30 Webelos Scouts were awarded the Camp Flag June 10 for outstanding Scout Spirit at the Andrew Jackson Council Cub Scout Day Camp.
Troup 30 Boy Scouts were awarded the Claude Holland Scout Spirit Award as the outstanding troup at the Andrew Jackson Council Summer Camp at Hood Scout Reservation June 6-12.
This award is the highest honor awarded to a troop by the camp staff.

CLEVELAND — Our Lady of Victories Parish will hold a mini-vacation Bible school for children ages two-four Sunday, June 27, from 6 - 8 p.m. Each child should be accompanied by an adult.
