Camping trip
SOUTHAVEN — Christ the King Parish high school youth will have an overnight camping experience at Sardis Lake Friday and Saturday, June 18-19. Cost is $5 which will help to cover the expense of food.

Delta Council Scholars
GREENVILLE — St. Joseph students Clay Curry and Chelsea Stokes will be recognized as Delta Council Scholars Friday, May 28, at Delta State University during the Delta Council Day celebration.

Pool party in Madison
MADISON — St. Francis of Assisi Parish Yahweh’s Youth (seventh and eighth grades) are invited to attend the pool party at the home of Grace Moorman Wednesday, June 2, from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
This party is sponsored by the parish Faithful Followers (ninth-12th graders).

Calling all bakers
JACKSON — St. Therese Parish LifeTeen youth group will sponsor a bake sale Saturday and Sunday, June 12-13. Donations of cookies, cakes and breads are welcome. Call 601-372-4481.

Mission trip
MERIDIAN — Youth from the Catholic Community of Meridian are planning a mission trip to Yazoo City June 18-20. All teens from recently graduated eighth graders to recently graduated high school seniors are invited to be a part of this trip.
There will be a planning meeting (parents are invited) on Wednesday, June 2, at 5:30 p.m. in the youth room.

Day care in Clarksdale
CLARKSDALE — St. Elizabeth School will offer a day care from now until July 23 from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. for children ages three to 11. Daily and weekly rates are available.

St. Joe summer camps
MADISON — St. Joseph School will hold the following summer camps:
— Football camp, June 1-4. Cost is $135.
— Soccer camp, June 7-11. Early registration $125, on-site $140.
— Volleyball camp, June 21-24. Morning camp $85, all day $130.
— Cheer camp, July 26-30. Cost is $100.

Youth basketball
FLOWOOD — St. Paul Parish holds youth basketball practices for ninth - 12th graders on Tuesdays from 6:30 - 8 p.m. in the Family Life Center.

Basketball camps
JACKSON — St. Richard Parish will offer a summer basketball camp June 14-17, July 12-15, and July 19-22 from 9 - 11:30 a.m. a.m. for boys and girls of the parish and school who will be in fourth - seventh grade for the next school year.
Cost is $70 per week and includes a camp T-shirt. There is a reduced rate for the second and third week.

Summer art camp
JACKSON — St. Richard School will offer a summer art camp June 21-24 from 9 - 11:30 a.m. for rising K-4 through sixth-graders. Children do not have to be registered at school to participate.

Creative arts camp
MADISON — St. Francis of Assisi Parish will hold a County Fair Creative Arts Camps for all fifth through eighth graders June 21-25 from 8:30 a.m. - noon.
Participants will learn drama skills, make cool crafts and perform for the vacation Bible kids.

Reading program
VARDAMAN — The Mississippi Humanities Council will offer “Luciernagas,” a bilingual reading program June 3-July 22, on Thursdays at 7 p.m. at Catholic Charities office. For information call 662-682-9992.

Youth mission work
SOUTHAVEN — Father Thi Pham, SCJ, will return to Southaven June 20-25 to lead another mission trip for youth in grades 10-12.
The group will stay in the Sacred Heart Southern Mission volunteer house in Walls, and will work in northern Mississippi. Registration is required and the deadline is Sunday, May 30. There is a registration fee of $25 for activities and a T-shirt.

Scholarship available
JACKSON — The Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary Father Anthony Bourges Court #171will distribute its annual scholarship to a deserving high school senior from Holy Ghost Holy or Holy Family parishes.
