Relay for Life
CANTON — Holy Child Jesus School’s Spirit Squad entertained the crowd at the annual Relay for Life held recently at the Canton Multipurpose Complex.
LaDonna Nicholas and Monica Davis, along with their daughters Jasmine Henderson and Elana Davis, students at Holy Child Jesus School, participated with a group of approximately 60 members from St. Paul and St. James AME churches.
Summer camp enrichment program
JACKSON — Registration has now begun for Sister Thea Bowman School summer camp and enrichment program to be offered June 2-July 25.
The enrichment program and camp will be held from 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. An after camp care will be available from 3 - 5:30 p.m.
The enrichment program, open to students in Pre-K3, Pre-K4 and kindergarten through 6th grades, will offer instruction in reading, language, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and math skills. For information call 601-352-5441.
Search retreat
JACKSON — High school seniors and juniors are invited to the annual Search for Christian Maturity Retreat scheduled for June 27-29, at Camp Wesley Pines in Gallman. Cost is $100.

Youth trip to Baton Rouge
JACKSON — Holy Ghost Parish CYO will make an end-of-the-school year trip to Dixie Landing and Blue Bayou, a combination Adventure Theme Park/Water Park in Baton Rouge, La., Saturday, June 14.
Youth, ages 13 and older, from St. Mary and Christ the King parishes are invited and encouraged to invite their friends as well. Cost of the trip is $110. A $60 deposit is due immediatly and the $50 balance is due June 1.
