‘Why Catholics Pray’ topic of workshops
JACKSON — “Why Catholics Pray” is the theme of the upcoming Why Catholic? meetings in the Diocese of Jackson. The dates and location of the presentations, which will explore how one can draw closer to God in prayer, pray in private and as a group and strengthen daily prayer life, are:
— Deanery I, at Jackson St. Richard, Thursday, Jan., 26, from 6:30 - 9 p.m.
— Deanery VI, at Meridian St. Patrick, Friday, Jan. 27, from 6:30 - 9 p.m.
— Deanery V, at Booneville St. Francis of Assisi, Saturday, Jan. 28, from 1:30 - 4 p.m.
— Deanery III & IV, at Batesville St. Mary, Sunday, Jan. 29, from 2 - 4:30 p.m.
— Deanery II, at Natchez St. Mary, Monday, Jan. 30, from 6:30 - 9 p.m. A light supper will be served at 6 p.m. Babysitting will be provided. For information contact Ruth McWilliams, 601-445-5616, ruthmcw@cableone.net.
