Fund-raiser concert at St. Richard
JACKSON — Daniel and Caitlin Shirley will be in conc ert at St. Richard Parish on Sunday, Aug. 26, at 2, p.m. in Foley Hall. Admission is free. An offering to benefit Catholic Charities Disaster Relief will be collected.
Daniel, tenor, has worked with Florida Grand Opera, Santa Fe Opera, and ensembles such as Chicago’s Music of the Baroque and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
He grew up in St. Richard Parish and is a graduate of St. Richard School, St. Joseph High School in Madison, Vanderbilt University, and the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
A native of Western Pennsylvania, Caitlin, soprano, has worked with the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Ash Lawn Opera Festival, and has twice been a prize winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Council District competition.
She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati Conservatory and the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
