What Communion means to me

My name is Kaitlyn Hamilton. I made my First Communion last year in May. On the day of my First Communion, I was both nervous and excited.
I had been looking forward to my Holy Communion since I was four. In second-grade Sunday School we learned the Eucharist is the REAL Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.
Now I can receive Jesus’ body and blood with my family. I don’t have to cross my arms for father’s blessing anymore. I have taught my two-year-old sister to receive the blessing in the Communion line by crossing her arms. I hope when she makes her First Communion she will be as happy as I was on my First Communion Day.
