Prayer vigils mark Roe v. Wade anniversary

         JACKSON — Sunday, Jan. 22, is the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. “In a world where little respect is paid to life, people often struggle with ways to promote a culture of life,” said Ben Russell, who works with the Committee on Pro-Life Activities sponsored by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Jackson.
         “This year you can help promote a culture of life by celebrating pro-life prayer vigils in your parish next week leading up to Sunday, Jan. 22,” Russell said. “These may be done daily, several times a week, or once.”
         Parishes have been sent the Diocesan Pro-Life Prayer Vigil booklet as well as bulletin inserts, prayer intentions, and other resources.
