Marriage supplement ads
‘good for all’ says local manager

JACKSON — In 1978, when I was preparing for my wedding I was attending graduate school at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg which is thousands of miles away from my native country, Venezuela.
I wanted to share with everyone I knew in my hometown I was engaged and would soon marry. So I decided to pay for an ad in Panorama, then Maracaibo’s most read newspaper, announcing my wedding. What better way to share this information than through an ad.
Weddings are part of our lives and we usually want to share with everyone that special information about our marriage day.
Now that I am working for Mississippi Catholic which publishes a marriage supplement each February, I think announcing a wedding in the Catholic newspaper of the state or diocese in which one lives is a great way to spread the word.

Rates are very affordable. The smallest ad, a $36 announcement (2 3/8” wide by 4” deep) can include a photo and text with the main information. Larger sizes are available.

The timely, service-oriented content of the supplement promises a long in-home life, as readers read and reread articles that offer practical tips on making the many decisions that will culminate on their wedding day.
This supplement is sent to over 13,500 families in the Diocese of Jackson targeting our soon-to-be-married readers who are planning their wedding day.
The Christian Marriage Supplement only appears in Mississippi Catholic, the place Catholics look for practical material related to faith-filled celebrations and relationships.
