Two new principals appointed
JACKSON — Two elementary schools in the Diocese of Jackson have new principals – Greenwood St. Francis and Vicksburg St. Francis.
In Greenwood, Sister Mary Ann Tupy replaced Sister Carol Seidl as principal. She is a Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity (OSF), Manitowoc, Wis.
Prior to coming to St. Francis, Sister Tupy was principal of Guardian Angels School in West Point, Neb.
She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee and a master’s in elementary administration from Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa.

In Vicksburg, Mary Arledge served as assistant principal and acting principal before being named principal of St. Francis Elementary this year.
Arledge received a bachelor’s in kindergarten/elementary education from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La.
In May 2010, she received a master’s in the Catholic Leadership Program at Marymount University in Arlington, Va.
She is a member of St. Michael Parish.
