Loyola holds conference for school leaders
NEW ORLEANS — Registration is now under way for the Summer Institute for Catholic School Leadership which is set for June 14-17 at Loyola University. The institute is sponsored by the Loyola University New Orleans Institute for Ministry and the Archdiocese of New Orleans Office of Catholic Schools.
The institute provides training, professional development and networking opportunities for new and veteran members of Catholic school leadership teams.
Cost is $800 for early registration with early registration or $850. Three plus early registrants from same school pay $750 each. Deadline for refund of registration tuition is Saturday, May 15.
New this year, “So You Want to Be a Principal,” a workshop for those aspiring to upper level administration in Catholic schools, set for Friday, June 18.
Participants may choose one of the following tracks on which to concentrate their training: mission and identity, administration, development/marketing/public relations, teacher formation, curriculum leadership, and finance.
The curriculum design is based on interests identified by Catholic school presidents, principals, teachers, financial and advancement officers locally and nationally. Instructors in the institute are experts in their fields from across the country.
