JACKSON — A priest involved in outreach to the poor and undocumented in northeast Mississippi and a banker are the 2010 Catholic Foundation Good Steward Award nominees.
The Good Steward Award is given to active Catholic Foundation members who reflect Bishop William Houck’s spirit of stewardship for the Catholic Foundation.
The award will be presented at the annual membership meeting and dinner Thursday, April 15, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Country Club of Jackson.
The guest speaker is Joe Rice Jr. of Ridgeland, one of four vice presidents of the foundation and a member of the investment committee.
Father Tom Lalor, pastor of Tupelo St. James Parish, has been a member of the Catholic Foundation for over nine years. He is a member at the clergy/religious level and currently serves on the board of directors.
