Luncheon offers help, hope
JACKSON — For over 45 years Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Jackson has served as a non-profit organization with a mission to help all those in need no matter what their faith, said Greg Patin, executive director, recently in a letter to benefactors.
The annual Journey of Hope fundraising luncheon will be held Thursday, Feb. 4, from noon - 1 p.m. at the Regency Hotel.
Catholic Charities strives to raise awareness in the community and to also become a safe haven for people who have nowhere to turn in their times of crisis, Patin said. Help and hope are offered, he said, through programs such as the Domestic Violence Center, Our Host Homes Shelter for Homeless and Runaway Teens, Adoption and Maternity Services, Therapeutic Foster Care, the Rape Crisis Center and many more.
The Journey of Hope luncheon is free to all guests, but at the end of the program, participants will be asked to consider making a donation to Catholic Charities. All proceeds go directly to the programs of Catholic Charities.
If you would like to attend, call Michael Thomas, development director, at 601-326-3714.
