Author shares his story of redemption
neil white      JACKSON — Neil White, author of “In the Sanctuary of Outcasts,” addresses the Timely Topics session at St. Richard Parish on Sunday, Sept. 27. White, a Southern publisher who now works and lives with his family in Oxford, was sentenced to 18 months in a federal prison for bank fraud. The Federal Medical Center in Carville, La., was not an ordinary prison, White said, but “a place where inmates and prison guards coexisted with leprosy patients and public health workers.” White shared the story of his loss, his imprisonment and his ultimate redemption.
