Enneagram, storytelling tools for spiritual growth
BROOKSVILLE/CULLMAN, Ala. — The Dwelling Place and the Benedictine Sisters Retreat Center are offering the following spiritual retreats:
“Introduction to the Enneagram: A Tool for Self-knowledge” is the theme of The Dwelling Place retreat scheduled for Friday-Sunday, Sept. 25-27. Clare Van Lent will be the presenter. Cost is $150.
The purpose of the study of the Enneagram is to identify and better understand one’s life, the thoughts and feelings associated with it and then to move in the direction of good health.
The workshop includes a self-test to indicate basic preferences, a description of the nine types and aids for growth in self-awareness and conversion.
The Enneagram is for anyone desiring to deepen his/her own understanding of self, friends, colleagues and clients.
On March 19-21, 2010, there will be a follow up, “The Enneagram, an Aid to Prayer.”

The Benedictine Sisters Retreat Center in Cullman, will offer a Woman Spirit Rising retreat, “Transformation thru Storytelling,” Friday-Sunday, Sept. 25-27,
Jane Owen Cunningham will lead women, through storytelling, into a magical world where words cannot go. This retreat will be an experience to help women explore their own stories and get in touch with inner transformative energy.
Cunningham is a storyteller, educator, mother, workshop leader, and media specialist at Berry College Elementary School in Rome, Ga.
Cost for private rooms is $195; shared rooms are $175 per person.
