Diocese of Nashville offers
charismatic conference July 17-18
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the Diocese of Nashville will host the 26th annual Mid-South Regional Catholic Charismatic Conference Friday and Saturday, July 17-18, at St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church, 601 Bell Road, Antioch.
This year’s theme is “Our hope is fixed on the Living God who is our Savior,” taken from 1 Timothy 4:10 and is a continuation of the theme from the 2008 National Leaders Conference.
Cost is $35 for individuals, $55 for married couples, and $65 per family and includes lunch. Cost will increase by $10 after July 10.
Father Larry Hess, pastor at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Bangor, Penn., is one of the guest speakers who will share his story of conversion from hippie to priest.
Mother Lucy Lukasiewicz, superior of the Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ which is a Charismatic Franciscan Religious Community in Prayer Town, Texas, will also lead a session.
There will be a special leaders session Sunday, July 19, at the Holiday Inn on Crossing Place. Attendance is limited to 50 people and will be reserved on a first come basis. Cost is $18 and includes breakfast.
The music ministry of the Alleluia Convenant Community from Augusta, Ga., will lead in praise and worship.
