World marriage celebration set Feb. 15
JACKSON — The annual diocesan World Marriage Day celebration will be held Sunday, Feb. 15, at 12:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle. Bishop Joseph Latino will celebrate the liturgy honoring couples throughout the diocese celebrating their 25th, 50th, or 60th wedding anniversaries in 2009.
Parishioners celebrating any of these anniversaries are encouraged to contact the Office of Family Ministry even if they are unable to attend the ceremony. The names of all the couples will be printed in the liturgy booklet. Couples attending the special Mass will receive a certificate signed by the bishop.

In Tupelo, St. James married couples and their families are invited to celebrate the sacrament of marriage on World Marriage Day, Sunday, Feb. 15, at the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Lunch will be served in the Catholic Life Center. Those planning to participate are asked to RSVP by Sunday, Feb. 8.
Natchez St. Mary Basilica will honor several married couples in the parish at the 4 p.m. Saturday Vigil Mass Feb. 7. Dinner and dancing for all married couples will follow at the Eola Hotel from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. Cost is $25 per couple and includes babysitting service.
