MRLC honors two Catholics JACKSON — The Mississippi Religious Leadership Conference (MRLC) will hold its annual banquet on Thursday, Feb. 28, at 6:30 p.m. at Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church. The theme for the evening is “One Nation Under God – The Role of Faith in Public Life.”
Founders’ Award honorees include Linda Raff, executive director of Catholic Charities; Michael Raff, director of Human and Cultural Services for the City of Jackson; Dr. T.W. Lewis, professor emeritus Millsaps College; Dr. Don Fortenberry, chaplain emeritus, Millsaps College. The Raffs are members of St. Peter Cathedral Parish.
Religious Leadership Awards will be presented to Mr. Sabri Agachan of the Institute for Interfaith Dialogue and Dr. Harry Kolodney for his work with Habitat’s Peace House.
Outgoing chairperson, Mary Woodward will give remarks on the topic and a “State of MRLC” address.
