Youth leaders
invited to de-stress JACKSON — Adult youth leaders, catechists, and other adults are invited to attend the third annual Catechetical Conference set for Saturday, July 21, at Hugh B. White State Park Conference Center in Grenada from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
This year’s theme is “Stress and Spirituality.” Alice Hughes, diocesan director for faith formation, said this is a perfect time to focus on stress since August can be a stressful time.
“We all know how gearing up for a new school year and youth ministry year can be — registrations, book backorders, no catechists, etc.”, she said.
So, in order to help youth leaders cope with the joys of August, Hughes is inviting them to attend the conference to de-stress.
There will be a workshop to help those who are responsible for the presentation of the Protection of Children annual review.
