New Wine courses start next week

      JACKSON — The diocesan Office of Faith Formation has announced the dates and places of the New Wine courses as follows:
Hebrew Scriptures
      — Vicksburg at St. Michael Parish, Thursdays, Jan. 25, Feb. 8, 22, and March 8, 22;
      — Natchez at Cathedral High School, Wednesdays, Feb. 14, 21, and March 14, 21;
      — Greenville at St. Joseph High School Wednesdays, Feb. 14, 21, and March 14, 21.
Morality
      — Corinth St. James, Feb. 1, 10, 15 and March 3, 22.
      For participants who need to obtain credit hours toward catechist certification there will be an additonal $10 fee. Send checks payable to the Catholic Diocese of Jackson, Office of Faith Formation, P. O. Box 2248, Jackson, MS 39225-2248.
      The text to be used is “Reading the New Testament” by Pheme Perkins, costs $10.       Participants should contact their parish office to obtain a copy of the book.
      To register call the Office of Faith Formation, 601-960-8470 or e-mail Karen Brown at karen.brown@jacksondiocese.org.
      The classes scheduled in Deanery I at Madison St. Francis of Assisi Parish, the Study of Paul’s Letters: Phillipians, Romans and Colossians, and at Jackson St. Richard Parish, Luke and John, have been postpone until the fall.
